In April, the Pearl River Delta Water Resources Allocation Project is a major national water conservancy project deployed by the CPC Central Committee and The State Council. It is the backbone project of the national water network and a major project to solve the contradiction between supply and demand of water resources in the Pearl River Delta and ensure the safety of water supply in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The total length of the project is 113.2 kilometers, with an annual water supply of 1.708 billion cubic meters.

Gaoxinsha Pump project is the first large-scale water diversion project of Dongfang Electric. Facing the major needs of the country, Dongfang Electric relies on more than 60 years of hydraulic machinery research and development and manufacturing technology accumulation, focusing on the three strategic directions of "domestic replacement of large pumps", "product performance improvement" and "intelligent products and pump integration system development", increasing the research on the localization of relevant technologies, and fully entering the field of high-end large pumps. Relying on the Gaoxinsha large pump project, Dongfang Electric has made a series of breakthroughs in the research and development, design, production, installation and commissioning of large pumps.

Dongfang Electric has created and applied a number of innovative technologies in the research and development process of high-end large pumps, carried out a large number of targeted studies focusing on the uniqueness of large pumps, and has done a lot of work and achieved remarkable results in hydraulic development, structural design, product manufacturing, product commissioning, especially in the aspects of product sediment wear resistance, solving many problems in the operation of large pumps. The operation stability and efficiency of the large pump are effectively improved.
